“…One soon reaches a plane where pedantic and powerless reason is left far behind, and the mere intellectual groping in the dark gives place to the daylight of direct perception. One no longer argues; one senses.” - Vivekananda
“Every second I am arriving to be a bud on a Spring branch.” - Rilke
I think people feel a sense of relief and coherence with me because I have an innate ability to ask the right questions, frame situations with unexpected nuance, and take away pressure. I’m a reflector and a remover of unnecessary rules.
As a child, I understood Spirit. I collected leaves and flowers in the yard and assigned them different meanings based on color, and I used them to pray. My ancestors are mountain people from Appalachia.
I was a lay leader at my church at the age of 14 with a curiosity that troubled my elders. I was always searching for a deeper connection to something.
I have found the richest and fullest experience of life through dance, through meditation, and by giving myself grace, over and over. I live with chronic pain, complex trauma, and a heightened sensitivity to the energies surrounding me and the emotions of other people. Through surrender and devotion, I also live with immense gratitude, reverence, and powerful love that transcends.
I began studying Yoga-Vedanta in 2012 and received my 200-hour teacher training certification in Raja Yoga in 2013 under Jacqueline Chiodo in Montezuma, Costa Rica. I observed silence at Yogaville in Charlottesville, VA.
I worked in restaurants for many years in Virginia and North Carolina, and I was consistently enmeshed with artists who challenged and stirred passion in me. I mentored kids in city schools in artistic expression, and I explored different forms of art on my own through self-published zines and textile work. A detour to study with the New York School of Interior Design in 2020 eventually led me to West Hollywood, CA. In 2025, I quit my job in design to return to my body and found Somatics, which somehow brought every prior interest and experience together under one holistic umbrella.
I am certified in Somatic Facilitation through the Integrative Psychology Institute, and I enjoy guiding people to their own internal knowing. I’m asking the right questions in a safe container so that you can experience the miracle of yourself.
I believe in making time to observe our felt senses as a creative practice and as a gift to the world: extending peace.
